Attestation of Power of Attorney / other Document

            POWER OF ATTORNEY INSTRUCTIONS GUIDELINE

   .         Power of Attorney original with one photocopy.

.       Particulars of the executant (s) and Nominee in the document must be the same as per the Nadra Card / Pakistan Passport and Proof of UK residence .

·      All persons executing the Power of Attorney must be present in person to sign the document before the designated official of the Consulate.

  • All executants must have an original Valid Nadra Card or Original valid Pakistan Passport for identification with one photocopy. In case Nadra Card expired/is misplaced, please renew Nadra card before presenting Power of attorney for Attestation.
  • Two Passport size latest photographs of the executant (s) per document.  If executant has more than one document to attest/ sign, two more photograph required for each document. 
  • If none of the above two IDs is available,  Power of Attorney (any other document)  will have to be attested by the British Foreign & Commonwealth Office before presenting to this Consulate for legalization and valid British Passport of the executant.

(B)        Authority Letter /Affidavit /Statement etc

  •  Authority Letter/Affidavit original with one photocopy.
  • Particulars of the executant (s) and nominee in the document must be the same as per the Nadra Card / Pakistan Passport and Proof of UK residence. 
  • All persons executing the Authority Letter/Affidavit must be present in person to sign the document before the designated official of the Consulate.
  • All executants must have an original valid Nadra Card or Original valid Pakistan Passport for identification with one photocopy. In case Nadra Card expired/is misplaced, please renew Nadra card before presenting Power of attorney for Attestation.
  • Proof of UK residence.  /Bio Metric residence card (BRP) with one photocopy.
  • Two Passport size latest photographs of the executant (s) per document.  if executant has more than one document to attest/ sign, two more photograph required for each document. 
  • Attestation of vehicle related document (s), Vehicle ownership document will be required for attestation plus above mention documents.
  • Name change Deed first need to be attested from the Legalisation department of the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) prior to Attestation / Legalisation from the Pakistan Consulate.

(C)     Prerequisite for documents originating /issued from Pakistan.

All documents originating/Issued from Pakistan first need to be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad or one of its Camp Offices prior to Attestation / Legalisation from the Pakistan Consulate. (e.g Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Death Certificate, Police Character Certificate etc )

(D)   Prerequisite for official / public documents originating from the UK.    All official / public documents originating from UK OR documents of British nationals (e.g Birth, Death, Marriage, Divorce certificate, Name change deed etc) first need to be attested from the Legalisation department of the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) prior to Attestation / Legalisation from the Pakistan Consulate.

(F)         Pension Papers / Life Certificate Requirements:

· Pension form / Life Certificate in original with one photocopy.

· Original Valid Nadra Card with one photocopy.

· Pensioner must be present in person.
